inDICEs – Measuring the impact of DIgital CulturE

Horizon Europe is the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation. inDICEs is conceived as a project that aims to empower policy-makers and decision-makers in the Cultural and Creative Industries to fully understand the social and economic impact of digitisation in their sectors and address the need for innovative (re)use of cultural assets. This is done principally by tracking policies in an open observatory and establishing policy priorities for successful digital transformation and future governance of cultural and creative content ecosystems, inDICEs is working to provide tools to measure and advance the impact of cultural heritage in Europe.

Policy-makers will have a solid framework to assess the impact of cultural heritage and an open observatory to keep track of the advancement of its impact. The project aims to develop a comprehensive methodology to measure and assess the economic and social impact of digitisation of cultural heritage on the access to European cultural goods and services and their modes of production. Dashboard Lite – Exploring Cultural Heritage through Data – semantic content exploration system to measure the impact of digital culture based on text mining and natural language processing technologies. Aftegr having created one’s account, the dashboard provides visual tools to analyse the public debate and professional stakeholder communication that can be significant in the context of inclusivity and digital culture.

• Open Observatory – The inDICEs online platform is a collaborative space where partners can come together and collaborate, ideate, and participate in activities to define and make transparent decisions on specific topics. The main function of the platform within the project is to develop a model for the online community governance and facilitate the co-creation of the online observatory space
• Dashboard Lite – Exploring Cultural Heritage through Data – semantic content exploration system
